On the occasion of the Royal Automobile Club’s Concours d’Elegance at Woodcote Park, RM Sotheby’s will auction 44 automobiles, 1 motorcycle, and a few pieces of memorabilia in Epsom (Surrey) on July 8, 2026. The value of the vehicles has been estimated at approximately £15.6 million.
On average, the vehicles on offer are 55 years old, and 22% of them will go under the hammer without a reserve price.
European Premium Brands
Cars from Bentley (7), Ferrari/Dino (7), Porsche (6), and Aston Martin (5) make up more than half of the offering.
Among the more exotic brands on the lot list are Frazer Nash, BRM, Lagonda, and Sunbeam.
While the Bentleys are 85 years old on average, the Porsches on offer are only 29 years old on average.
Jean Sage’s F40
The 1990 Ferrari F40 with chassis number ZFFGJ34B000084642 was originally ordered by Jean Sage directly from Charles Pozzi as an early F40 without a catalytic converter. Apparently, Sage found the car too slow; in any case, he had it modified by Michelotto in 1994 to bring it closer to the CSAI GT specification.
The F40, which has covered 22.699 km to date, is now expected to fetch between £2.7 and 3.2 million.
The other Ferraris on offer are significantly more affordable; for example, a right-hand-drive 1974 365 GT4 BB (chassis 18123), for example, is priced at just £230,000 to 260,000, and there isn’t even a minimum bid required.
A new 911 with patina
Porsche Motorsport built only two “road-going versions” of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 in 1993. The car was delivered in 1996 and then put into storage. In 2015, it was rediscovered after two decades. It hasn’t been driven since then either and therefore still has the protective wax coating on the paint.
Now, a price of £1.85 to 2.2 million is being asked if the car is to change hands.
Those looking to spend a little less on a Porsche might be interested in the left-hand-drive 1992 964 RS in “Maritime Blue.” After all, this car was on display at the 1991 Frankfurt and Lisbon auto shows. The 911 now has over 100,000 km on the odometer and is expected to go under the hammer for between £190,000 and £240,000.
Another rarity is certainly the 924 Carrera GTR IMSA, which was built around 1981. It is expected to fetch between £150,000 and £200,000.
Four or five Astons from the David Brown era
With two Aston Martin DB5s, a DB4, and a DB6, the manufacturer—known not only from James Bond films—is very well represented.
A 1966 Radford DB5 Shooting Brake is expected to fetch between £800,000 and 1 million.
Somewhat more affordable, but much younger despite its name, is the DB4 GT, which is one of the 2018 Continuation models. The estimate here is £650,000 to 850,000.
Pre-war Bentley
Three of the four oldest cars in the auction are Bentleys. At 102 years old, a 1924 Bentley 3-Liter Speed Model is the oldest car.
The most expensive Bentley, however, is the 4/8-Liter Supercharged Two-Seater Sports. It dates from 1932 and is expected to fetch between £450,000 and £650,000.
A 1934 factory-built MG K3 Magnette was appraised at exactly the same value.
By the way, you don’t have to have hundreds of thousands in your bank account to bid on a Bentley at RM. A 1952 R-Type Saloon is being offered for just £15,000 to 30,000, despite its Monte Carlo Rally history.
Two Rare Frazer Nashes
Two rare Frazer Nash models are set to go under the hammer at RM.
First up is a 1935 TT Replica, which, although called a “Replica,” was—as is well known—built directly at the factory in the same style as a Frazer Nash that had been successful at the Tourist Trophy. The estimated value has been set at £180,000 to 260,000.
A 1948 “High Speed” Le Mans Replica is expected to fetch an even higher price. It is expected to sell for between £280,000 and £360,000.
There will be no shortage of rare and hard-to-find classics at Woodcote Park; examples include the 1956 Lotus Eleven Series 1 (£100,000 to 150,000), the 1975 Lancia Stratos HF (£485,000 to 550,000), or the 1956 Maserati A6G/54 2000 GT Allemano (£300,000 to 400,000).
RM’s lineup at Woodcote Park is diverse and also includes modern sports cars such as a 2021 McLaren 765 LT or a 2006 Ferrari Superamerica. The most affordable lot, however, is a 2003 Honda SZX50 that served as the BAR Honda F1 team’s paddock scooter; you can get in on the action here for as little as £2,000 to 4,000.
