RM/Sotheby's traditionally opens the auction week on the occasion of Rétromobile 2018, which runs from February 7 to 11, 2017. Housed as always in a tent on Place Vauban, RM will once again be able to present some exceptional vehicles in 2018.
Bugatti 35 Grand Prix
Chassis 4394 once belonged to Count Georges Cholmondeley, who drove it at Brooklands, among other places.
The car from 1925 is offered with original chassis, body, gearbox, axles and differential for EUR 950,000 to 1.05 million.
Maserati MC12
Eighty years later, the Maserati MC12 from 2005 with chassis number 12085 went under the hammer for an expected EUR 2 to 2.5 million without a minimum price. After all, 12,500 km have been covered so far.
The MC12 is joined by a Ferrari F40 from 1992 (EUR 850,000 to 950,000).
BMW 507
The BMW 507 Roadster from the second series from 1958 was estimated at EUR 1.6 to 1.8 million.
Chassis 70127 remained in first ownership until 2004 and is considered a highly original example.
Alpine-Renault A310 1600 VF
As is well known, the first A310s were equipped with the four-cylinder engine from the Berlinette.
The car offered by RM from 1973 is one of the early examples, has the fuel-injected 1.6-liter engine in the rear and has covered just 4000 km to date. Even the first Michelin tires are still fitted. Despite its high estimate of EUR 75,000 to 85,000, this car is well worth a trip to Paris for Alpine fans.
Triumph TR3 Rallye Monte Carlo
Triumph entered four TR3As for the 1958 Monte Carlo Rally.
One of the four, driven at the time by John Waddington/Mike Wood, the works racer with chassis TS/23870-O and impressive racing history (Rallye des Alpes, Tulip Rally, etc.) is now coming under the hammer. EUR 160,000 to 180,000 is the estimated value, a lot of money for the apple-green two-seater with hardtop.
RM/Sotheby's continuously reports further vehicles on its website.
