The rally for people up to the age of 35 is entering its fourth round this year. Around 60 to 100 classic cars are expected. The rally was originally planned for May 2 and 3, 2020. Due to the new coronavirus, the organizers have now had to postpone the event to 26 and 27 September 2020.The registration deadline has also been extended.
Igniting a love of classic cars among the younger generations
The RAID Young Raiders Challenge aims to introduce younger generations to the world of classic cars and to convey the joy of driving. Anything that has wheels and is old is allowed to compete. Youngtimers, i.e. vehicles built in 2000 or later, are also allowed to take part in this unique rally.
The start is at the Emil Frey Classic Center in Safenwil. From there, the route of the Grand Tour of Switzerland will be taken for the first time. A fascinating route through two language regions and five Alpine passes and along 22 lakes. It combines the best that Switzerland has to offer in terms of roads and landscapes, withone of the absolute highlights being the route through the Jura. It is peppered with numerous tight bends and offers riders picturesque landscapes to marvel at. The route is therefore perfect for classic cars!The drivers can put their skills to the test at the wheel on various special stages. Overnight accommodation is provided in a four-star hotel in Lausanne.
Unique experience, manageable costs
The cost per person is CHF 495, which includes everything except fuel (entry fee, overnight stay, dinner and breakfast).
The overall winner will receive three nights' accommodation in three different four-star hotels, each with dinner and breakfast. Each participant will also receive a Grand Tour of Switzerland ticket as a gift.
