Traditionally, a prologue takes place before the RAID Suisse-Paris, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2015. In 2015, the participants in this preliminary event will start in Safenwil. Emil Frey AG will be opening the Classics Center Switzerland there this summer, a center for classic car culture that is second to none.
A factory property from the early 20th century has been completely renovated, extended and subtly supplemented with a new building. Generously designed rooms, an event hall, vintage car workshop, museum, exhibition rooms, etc. characterize this institution, which is unique not only in Switzerland.
The RAID Prolog Emil Frey Classics to Basel on August 26, 2015 is the first major event to be held in this new facility dedicated to historic automobiles.
The event begins at 9:00 a.m. with a tour of the center, followed by lunch and the start of the drive at 2:00 p.m. It is designed as a tourist journey along the most beautiful and little-used routes through the Jura and around Basel. Driving enjoyment, the pleasure of discovering new landscapes and also some sporting interludes should characterize this classic car ride. The RAID organization in Basel, which has a great deal of conceptual and organizational experience in this field, is responsible for selecting the route and carrying out the prologue.
The fun-filled rally will arrive in Basel at around 5 p.m., where it will meet up with around 70 veteran cars from the Concours d'Elégance Basel.
The 1st RAID Prolog Emil Frey Classics is open to cars from all manufacturers up to and including 1985. Experienced specialists from Emil Frey AG will look after the historic vehicles on the road.
Participation costs 330 francs for two people. This includes sightseeing, lunch and non-alcoholic drinks as well as rally plates, documents and trophies for the best-placed cars. You can still register until June 30, 2015. Why not take your classic car out for a spin during the week?
