Even before the winter really gets going, preparations for the Planai-Classic 2026 are already in full swing - and the incoming entries once again promise an exceptionally strong starting field.
A special highlight is coming from Italy: Andreas Caimi and Marco Faggioli are taking part in a 1936 Delage D6-80 - one of the most elegant sports cars of the pre-war era.
The French six-cylinder once impressed with its technical sophistication, lightweight construction and outstanding reliability - qualities that made it successful in Europe's major endurance races back in the 1930s.
Also at the start with an impressive history: Fritz and Karin Müller in their Ford Escort RS 2000 from 1972. The couple are not only long-standing participants and supporters of the Ennstal-Classic - Fritz Müller and his company Müller Transporte have been a reliable partner behind the scenes for decades - but also successful international drivers.
Together with Ennstal-Classic service partner Robert Huber, Fritz Müller took part in the legendary Peking-Paris Rally in 2025: 15,000 kilometers in 37 days, a victory in the class classification and 7th place overall - an incredible achievement!
Registration for the Planai-Classic is still possible until November 15, 2025!
The Planai-Classic will take place from January 8 to 10, 2026, cars built up to 1976 are eligible to start, of course without four-wheel drive and electronic aids. Winter at the Niederöblarn Alpine airfield, winter in the side valleys of the Enns Valley, winter at the Gröbming harness racing track and, as a highlight, winter on the perfectly prepared Planai road.
