The Passione Engadina will take place for the 8th time from August 23-25, 2019. The event is open to Italian vehicles produced up to 1989. The highlights of this edition include the Julius Baer Rally, the Ladies Cup, the Plozza Challenge and the Concours d'Elegance in Tirano. The vehicles are divided into five categories according to their age, which take part separately in the overall classification:
- Class D: Post Vintage - 1945
- Class E: Post-war cars 1946-60
- Class F: Classic 1961-70
- Class G: Modern 1971-80
- Class H: Post Modern: 1981-89
- Class Sportscar: At the discretion of the organizer
The Ladys Cup starts on Friday afternoon (August 23), and in keeping with the name, only women are allowed to take part. According to the organizers, there will be a pairs competition in which every hundredth of a second will count.
The Julius Baer Rally will take place on Saturday (August 24). At 220 km, it covers an impressive number of kilometers over the most beautiful roads in Graubünden. Starting in St. Moritz, the route then continues via Zernez, Sent, the Fluela Pass, Davos, Tiefencastel and the Julier Pass back to St. Moritz. As every year, there will be regularity races, numerous competitions and entertainment programs around the rally.
Sunday morning dawns with the Plozza Challenge Cup, which starts in St. Moritz. The participants will be escorted by the police to Tirano in Italy, where special stages await them in the cordoned-off old town.
From 11 a.m. onwards, some of the participants' cars will be on display. The jury will be made up of members of the public in attendance. For this purpose, the organization will distribute ballots earlier in the morning.
Guest of honor in 2019 is the Lamborghini brand.
