At this year's IAA, the Automobilclub von Deutschland (AvD), the Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) and the Zentralverband des deutschen Kraftfahrzeuggewerbes (ZDK) are presenting a special kind of classic car show under the motto "The wild 70s". At the approximately 1,000 m² stand in Hall 6.0, visitors will be able to experience vehicles that reflect the special zeitgeist of the 1970s. The 20 or so exhibits represent automotive dreams that have been realized by tuning companies and private individuals alike.
As in 2015, the AvD, VDA and ZDK joined forces to present their commitment to historic vehicles at a joint stand. When selecting the vehicles on display, those responsible were particularly enthusiastic about the rarely shown spoiler-armored exhibits, which made the hearts of many motorists beat faster 40 years ago.
In a separate area of the stand, 5 vehicles from bb Rainer Buchmann, a company that has now been in existence for 40 years and has also made a name for itself internationally with the refinement of German premium vehicles and its own innovations, will be on display. Vehicles from AMG, Kamei, Koenig Specials and SGS Styling Garage will also be on display. For motorcycle enthusiasts, there is an Eckert Honda and the BMW Futuro from bb. The program is rounded off by vehicles that have been particularly stylishly converted by private individuals.
The stand will be a central point of contact for classic car enthusiasts and will offer plenty of seating where they can linger. A colorful supporting program will provide additional entertainment. With the stand concept, the AvD wants to revive the lifestyle of the 70s. Together with partners, many activities are planned at the stand to remind visitors of this period with its special automobile culture.
Visitors can experience this special exhibition and many other events and activities at the 65th IAA Cars from September 16 to 24, 2017 (for trade visitors already on September 14 and 15) in Frankfurt am Main.
Further information can be found on the AvD website.
