The Erwin Hymer Museum invites you to an exciting summer special this summer. The focus is on camping with a classic car. On display will be various vintage camper combinations, such as an Austin-Healey with Dethlef's camper.
Decelerated travel in the Goggomobil
In keeping with the current exhibition program about small(est) cars, the author Bianca Schäb will give a talk about her book "Ich habe Zeit, was hast du?". The book is about decelerated traveling and her experiences in her Goggomobile and the tiny Dethlefs camper. The lectures will take place on Saturday at 4 pm and on Sunday at 11 am.
Advice from experts
The museum workshop will be live on site from 1 pm to 2 pm. Collection manager Markus Böhm and master mechanic Franz Huber will be on hand to give tips on buying and restoring a Goggomobil and what mistakes to avoid.
Not enough yet?
If you want to experience even more stories and hands-on activities about historic small cars, you can do so right now in the exhibition "Freedom in miniature - cuddly cuddles, little mice and great boxes".
The special exhibition "Oldtimer Camping" as well as workshop reports and travelogues about the Goggomobil will take place this weekend, August 8 and 9, on the large lawn in front of the museum. Admission is included in regular museum admission and children and young people up to the age of 18 are admitted free of charge.
