Badge, Small Change, 1997 Model Year
Vehicles built up to 1997—that is, at least 30 years old—are permitted; brand-specific clubs must register in advance. Admission is CHF 10 per vehicle; motorcycles enter for free, and spectators may also attend free of charge. The organizers ask that you have the exact change ready.
With the annual badge, admission is free, and you can go straight to the event grounds. The 2027 badges will be available starting in February 2027. The limited-edition gold version also guarantees a front-row parking spot, reserved until 10:00 a.m. GPS address: Chamerstrasse 56, 6300 Zug.
From Seven Cars to a Community Festival
It all began in the spring of 1999 with an idea from Kurt Infanger. From May through September, participants would meet on the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 a.m. for drinks at the Kollermühle’s outdoor bar—initially with just seven vehicles.
In 2001, the meet moved to the Siemens site. In 2007, a parade even rolled through downtown Zug, which was closed off specifically for the classic cars. In 2008, Robert Hümbeli took over. When the Siemens site was developed, the OSMT found its current home at the Stierenmarkt site in 2010. In its heyday, up to 800 vehicles gathered there.
In 2024, all events had to be canceled. Since 2025, ACS Mitte has been organizing the event, together with its trusted team of volunteers. The relaunch was a success: four gatherings with perfect weather and a packed venue. Speaker Elio Crestani introduced the vehicles.
Where the bulls usually reign
The venue has its own tradition. Every September, the Zug Bull Market takes place on the same grounds—in 2026, it will mark its 135th edition. There, Brown Swiss and Original Brown Cattle bulls are judged, traded, and crowned “Mister ZM Zug,” and the supporting program includes a piglet race.
In 2016, a jury at the Bull Market even selected the winning bull for the 2019 Swiss Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Zug.
Since 2010, however, it’s been horsepower—not bulls—that’s been in the spotlight here at the OSMT on summer Sundays.
