The Oldtimer Sunday Morning Meeting in Zug is one of Switzerland's traditional events. Five times, on the first Sunday of each month, hundreds of old cars meet in the bull stables not far from Lake Zug.
In 2015, the summer meetings in particular benefited from the best weather conditions, but on September 13, the sky was mainly gray and the temperatures were no longer reminiscent of the hot summer.
However, this did not deter the classic car drivers from near and far from flocking to Zug and the entire area was already packed at ten o'clock.
Mustang and Studebaker in the tent
A festival of chrome fins was announced for the fifth meeting and many Americans did indeed find their way to Zug.
This was also thanks to the two clubs "Ford Mustang Club of Switzerland" and "Studebaker Club of Switzerland", whose vehicles were exhibited in a tent.
Some visitors may have been amazed at the Studebaker range, as there were some rarities to admire alongside the better-known models such as the Avanti.
Caravelle and Floride outside
The Renault Floride & Caravelle Club CH also provoked an impressive turnout, with over 20 of these rare rear-engined convertibles lined up in a row.
From the early models to the late variants, there was almost everything that delighted fans at the time.
Variety is the trump card
In general, the strength of the OSMT is certainly the variety of vehicles that come together on a few hundred square meters. From the Pretzel Beetle to the Alfa Romeo Montreal, from the BMW Isetta to the Chevrolet Corvette, from motorcycles to vintage tractors, there is everything to see and so a stroll through the rows is the highlight of every OSMT visit.
Photo shoot attraction
As a special attraction, a photo shoot with photo models was also organized at the fifth OSMT 2015, which naturally motivated visitors to pull out their cell phones and take photos of the hustle and bustle.
Jazz and fish snacks
Visitors who arrived with or without vintage cars were able to relax to jazz music and typical Swiss "Fischchnursperlis". And for those who weren't in the mood for fish, there was of course also a bratwurst. Another event came to an end with discussions about petrol and a look back at the season, and most people made the journey home dry.
The dates for 2016 have already been set: May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7 and September 11, 2015.
