On April 26/27, 2014, the Goodtimer Oldtimer Center Eastern Switzerland will open in its new premises in St. Margrethen. Goodtimer is no stranger to the market, having established itself as one of the largest and most successful classic car dealers in Eastern Switzerland in recent years. The range of services has been constantly expanded and today offers almost everything a classic car buyer needs.
Spacious new premises
The new building at Hauptstrasse 23 in St. Margrethen offers ideal conditions for expanding the business and intensifying customer relations, as almost all services can now be offered under one roof for the first time. The entire interior was carefully selected and aligned with the purpose of the business.
In the entrance area, the clothing boutique offers the opportunity to dress in vintage style, while in the bright sales room next door there are always 30 to 50 classics to choose from, including some classics of the future. At the rear of the building there is space for a large number of customer vehicles that were waiting in the so-called workshop hotel for their next assignment, but are constantly maintained and kept in running order during the rest period.
Checkpoint and workshop
A fully equipped vehicle acceptance test with lifting platform, engine tester and exhaust gas measuring device enables problems to be diagnosed while the customer is present. This allows the workshop order to be developed directly in dialog.
The workshop itself is located at the rear of the building, has plenty of space and allows for quiet and concentrated work.
Marcel Widler would like to rent out some of the space at the rear of the building, preferably to a car electrician or another classic car-related business.
Complete range of services
The Oldtimer Zentrum Ostschweiz offers its customers a complete range of services, from buying and selling to vehicle maintenance, restoration and storage. Specialized partner companies carry out work that the Goodtimer employees cannot do themselves.
Everything to do with classic cars
Goodtimer also conducts driving safety training courses, supports rallies and organizes company events and drinks receptions in a classic car atmosphere.
"With the new premises, we are taking a big step into the future," said Marcel Widler, founder and manager of the Classic Car Center Eastern Switzerland, in a recent interview, "but the initial feedback and customer contacts at the new location show that our concept is appreciated."
