Anyone interested in Borgward and DKW is sure to enjoy the two new calendars for 2015 from publisher Peter Kurze.
The Borgward calendar 2015
The new calendar commemorates the cars that Bremen industrialist Carl F. W. Borgward produced in the Hanseatic city in the 1950s. The historical color photos show the chic Isabella Coupé, the representative car of the great Borgward (P 100) presented in 1959, the sophisticated Hansa 2400 Sport, the elegant Hansa Coupé and the "leucoplast bomber" Lloyd LP 300.
Some trucks are also represented in the contemporary pictures. For example, a Borgward 1.5-ton B 1500 "Alligator" truck is picking up bananas, a B 2500 bus is on a tour of the Alps with a tour company and a 1954 front-wheel drive truck is parked in the Weser Stadium parking lot.
The color photos are originals that the factory photographers took back then with a lot of effort, pretty models and car models.
"Washing list": DKW calendar 2015
The calendar for classic car fans of the DWK brand is reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s, when these two-stroke automobiles could be seen everywhere on the roads.
The illustrations are all from the era of the economic miracle. The historical photos are in color and reflect the flair of the young Federal Republic.
13 sheets show the variety of DKW types from the post-war period: the chic DKW F12 Cabriolet, the special class, the fast AU 1000 S, the Bundeswehr off-road vehicle Munga, the sophisticated AU 1000 sports coupé and also the last two-stroke car from Auto Union, the DKW F 102.
The two calendars cost EUR 11.95 each in Germany, including shipping, and measure 30 x 21 cm. They are available from the publisher Peter Kurze, Depkenstrasse 21, 28213 Bremen. The calendars can be ordered by e-mail to [email protected] or in the online store at www.peterkurze.de .
