The hundredth SwissClassics Revue 100-6/2023 is now available. As on the cover of the first issue, the current issue features an Enzmann 506. A very special Enzmann 506 is featured to mark the anniversary. To mark 100 years of MG, a detailed report is devoted to the highs and lows in the history of the English brand. For once, the cars of SwissClassics Revue readers will also take center stage. SwissClassic Revue has been around for 20 years now, and we look back on the last two decades of classic cars in Switzerland. We also compare the prices of classic cars today and in 2003. The portrait looks at René Progin and Jean Tinguely, who met through their shared passion for motorsport. And an obituary bids farewell to another metal artist: the gifted coachbuilder Gino Zoggia and his work. And that is by no means all...
Enzmann 506
You would have expected a car like the Enzmann 506 from British carmakers rather than a Swiss country doctor. But without his knowledge and inventive spirit, as well as the support of his brothers, the Lucerne sports car would probably not have gone into series production.
Readers and their cars
On the occasion of the 100th SwissClassics Revue, readers' cars will take center stage for once. After all, some SwissClassics readers drive very special classic cars. We portray four of them.
We portray a Plymouth Sport Fury, a Riley Two-Point-Six, a Moskvitch 401-420 that is unique in this country and a very special MG 1300 Estate that didn't actually exist.
The English brand MG
In the 100th edition of SwissClassics Revue, we shed light on the history of a car manufacturer that is celebrating its 100th anniversary: MG. However, the story of the British manufacturer began a few years earlier. And things didn't always run smoothly in those 100 years. The history of MG is certainly not a straightforward one. Today, practically all that remains of the brand is the octagonal badge. But the vehicles from the "Morris Garages" are still legendary.
Luxury with a Swiss touch
Rolls-Royce was able to present a new model soon after the Second World War. An early example made its way to Switzerland via a circuitous route and went on to tell an impressive story.
