Time flies so quickly, the fourth issue of Curbs is already on the newsstands! And it is packed with reviews of exciting historic motorsport events and stories about brands, vehicles and people.
Thrilling motorsport moments
Of course, reporting on past events also takes up a lot of space in the new issue. There are reports on the 6 Hours of Spa, the Goodwood Revival, the Arbö Rally, the San Marino Rally, the Rossfeld Berchtesgaden Hillclimb (from a cockpit perspective) and the FHRT/YT season finale at the Nürburgring. And for dessert, there's a look back at 2014 in pictures with action, smoke and rollovers.
Legendary racing cars
Four vehicles are profiled in issue 4/2014. It starts with the Ford GT40 using chassis number 102 as an example.
An extensive report is dedicated to the special 904 with eight-cylinder engine, illustrated with beautiful studio photos and Werner Bührer's famous drawings.
The history section commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar D-Type and the 60th birthday of the Maserati 250 F.
There are rare historical photos to admire in all the articles and, of course, plenty to read, just in time for the coming Christmas season.
People and emotions
Of course, the people in and around the racing cars are not neglected either.
A detailed portrait is dedicated to Peter Mücke - racing driver and team boss - and illustrated with many photos. And then there is also a look back at Peter Lindner and his racing career.
Special stories
As always, Rainer Braun delivers very special stories, for example under the title "American Raceway".
This is about the 60 years that the HMSC, the "Hesse Motor Sports Club", has been around. Anyone who is not familiar with this club will certainly remember its exponents, e.g. Wolfgang Graf Behe von Trips or Huschke von Hanstein. Here too, strong historical images support the expectedly entertaining text.
And then there is something to read about Lola and its Formula Vee cars and, of course, there are also short previews and retrospectives, scene news and other "standards".
So it's well worth popping into the magazine kiosk ...
