The new issue of Auto Bild Klassik contains reports on interesting classic cars and youngtimers. The focus is on classic cars with four-valve technology, small cars from Fiat and a prototype from Porsche. There is also a detailed report on the Hamburg-Berlin Classic.
Classics with four-valve technology
Four-valve technology was first used in motor racing. Gradually, it was also used for road cars. Today, there are many classic cars with four-valve engines. Jensen-Healey, Opel Ascona 400, Mercedes 190 E2.5-16, Porsche 944 S and Toyota MR2 are among them and are profiled in the new issue.
Small boxes from Fiat
It all started with the Topolino after the war, the Nuova 500 became the symbol of Italy, the Panda brought minimalism into the right form for the eighties. This is how Fiat brought the cute little cars onto the market, and it worked.
The oldest 911
The prototype sounds and drives like other early Porsche 911s, although the exhaust system with two tailpipes, for example, was only available on the prototype. To be fair, it should be noted that the engine and chassis details were converted to series standard over the decades. Nevertheless, the prototype is unique.
Hamburg-Berlin Classic
The Hamburg-Berlin-Klassik was all about leaving everything behind and relaxing again. What better way to do this than on a three-day trip in an oldie?
With 32 degrees and sunshine, the ride is twice as much fun. And you don't have to go far to do it.
BMW endurance test
Three top BMW models were put side by side in an endurance test to prove that they have staying power. The 3.0 Si takes on its predecessor and successor, covering thousands of kilometers in the process.
75 years of Matra
In the albums of the Pflock family you will find 75 years of Matra history. The third generation is already driving a Matra. In Germany, they are known as the ones with the silver lemon, but there have also been some brilliant moments in Matra's history. As the report in the magazine impressively shows.
