After a two-year break due to the pandemic, Motorworld Classics Bodensee is back on track. From May 6 to 8, 2022, the classic car show at the exhibition grounds in Friedrichshafen will present classic cars on two, three and four wheels that are well worth seeing. As in previous years, spectators can look forward to vintage racing with top-class participants, marvel at the "Ace Café" and stock up on equipment at the parts market.
Other special highlights that fans can expect at the new edition are the start of the AutoBild Bodensee-Klassik-Rallye and the stand of the Friends of Old Motorcycles with the special exhibition "Töff-Land Schweiz".
Switzerland as a country for motorcyclists
Switzerland offers some of the world's most beautiful Alpine passes, as German motorcycle fans have long known. However, very few people know that Switzerland had a very diverse motorcycle industry in the first third of the last century and was at times the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and built-in engines with brands such as Motosacoche.
Thanks to its neutral position during the two world wars and its love of preserving traditions and values, a large number of pre-war motorcycles have survived in "Töff Land Schweiz".
Motorworld Classics Bodensee and the "Freunde alter Motorräder"(FAM) club, the network for old motorcycles in Switzerland, will present the diversity of motorcycles and brands from times long past after the pandemic-related break in the classic car fair.
Technically savvy motorcycle enthusiasts will not only be able to enjoy the absolute originality of the motorcycles, but also the versatile engine concepts. The traditional two-wheelers can be admired at the trade fair in Hall B3.
With Ace Café
The FAM stand will be located very close to the annual "Ace Café". "We are delighted that the trade fair can take place live in Friedrichshafen again this year. We hope that our presence at Motorworld Classics Bodensee this year will generate new international contacts and connect us with motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world," says FAM President Andreas Clesle in a positive mood. The FAM board has also announced that an absolute "motorcycle highlight" will be presented at the stand as a crowd-puller.
Also riding
A number of owners of valuable, historic racing motorcycles have already signed up for the Vintage Racing event. "This year, we will see and hear around 150 racing vehicles on two and four wheels on the trade fair circuit, which has been attracting visitors from Switzerland for years. They will bring back the sound of the good old days for us," say project manager Roland Bosch and race director Armin Wanschura enthusiastically.
Motorworld Classics Bodensee is set to take place from May 6 to 8, 2022 and will be open to visitors on Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
