For the 28th time, the classic car fundraiser in aid of people with disabilities is free to drive.
For a good cause
Lebenshilfe Gießen e.V. helps over 2,800 people with disabilities and mental illness to lead independent lives. Under the umbrella of our non-profit association are inclusive children's and family centers, youth welfare facilities, schools, workshops, advice centers and homes. The realization of these projects was and is inconceivable without the donations from the classic car donation campaign.
In 2022/2023, the proceeds will go towards the further development of an assisted parenthood service for parents with intellectual disabilities, a new workshop for people with mental illnesses, a meeting place in Giessen city center for people with high support needs and other inclusive projects for people with disabilities.
A dream classic for five euros?
12 attractive classic cars can be won in the 28th classic car donation campaign. For example, an elegant BMW 502 from 1957, also known as the Baroque Angel.
The VW Bus T1 panel van from 1962 is also popular.
And if a car is called a "goddess", then it simply has to be attractive, which is certainly the case with the Citroën DS 21 from 1965.
Sporty types will be drawn to the 1974 Triumph TR6, while comfort-conscious long-distance drivers will be drawn to the 1978 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE (W116).
The Riley Mini "Elf" from 1968 and the VW Type 181 "Kurierwagen" from 1971 are likely to be fun.
The Jaguar XJ12 from 1987 and the Studebaker Hawk Coupé from 1961 are more luxurious.
The Saab 96 from 1973 is a vehicle with a rally tradition, while the Ford Taunus TC from 1977 is a bread-and-butter car of the 1970s. And for motorcycle fans, there is also a Moto Guzzi V7 Special from 1970.
And that's not all, there are other prizes such as a pair of handmade Gentlemen Driver Shoes or two nights for two people in the BurgStadt Hotel including two hours in the flight simulator, to name just two examples.
Five euros is enough to take part, and a donation receipt will be issued for donations of EUR 50.00 or more.
Further information and the opportunity to donate can be found on the website of the classic car donation campaign.
