After bidding farewell to the oldest drive-in movie theater in North Rhine-Westphalia in Cologne in 2024, the legendary Opel Manta and Ford Capri models are meeting up this time in Essen to celebrate a reunion in what is now the last drive-in movie theater in NRW.
Separated in brand, long united in cult
This new asphalt attraction also offers a fitting setting: Two racy car icons from the Rhine and Ruhr, two German movie gems in a double feature as well as petrolhead discussions accompanied by selected music and delicacies from the snack bar.
As last year in Cologne, an extensive supporting program is planned and will be announced at a later date.
"Manta meets Capri" will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Admission is from 4 pm. The two films "Manta - The Movie" and "Superstau" from 1991 will be shown from 8 pm.
The first rows in front of the screen are of course reserved for Opel Manta and Ford Capri! Other oldies are also welcome and entry and participation with modern cars is also possible.
