From April 29 to May 1, 2027, Lugano will once again be the setting for an extraordinary beauty contest. The most beautiful classic cars and their owners will come from all over the world to compete before a jury of renowned specialists and experts from the world of historic automobiles.
Before the public arrives, the weekend belongs to the participants. They experience the finest hospitality Lugano has to offer, and their vehicles are treated as the works of art they are—on the roads throughout the region and at locations where their beauty speaks for itself.
Concours Highlights
A first: An interactive, web-based scoreboard shows how each vehicle stacks up against the others. Spectators and participants can follow the Concours action live.
After the Concours, each participant will receive their results and the judging sheet via email. This makes it easy to understand the judging criteria, and those who wish to do so can work on specific areas for improvement.
The City of Lugano Award is selected directly by the audience via a QR code. There is also a program for automobile clubs: they showcase their vehicles and compete in their own Concours class. A personal concierge takes care of the participants.
The preview viewing takes place at Villa Castagnola and offers a private gathering on Friday. In addition, a pre-war vehicle will be dynamically presented as the “Car of Honor.”
The public portion of the Concours will then take place in the historic center of Lugano, with the cars displayed throughout the Old Town. Admission is free for the public.
For the kids, there’s the Junior Grand Prix: they’ll race pedal go-karts through the historic Via Nassa.
Stay in Style
The Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola is the official hotel partner of Lugano Elegance. A former patrician villa, now a five-star grand hotel, it features its own park and is situated directly on the lake. This is where participants will stay over the weekend, and it is also where part of the event will take place. Rooms have been reserved at a special rate for Lugano Elegance participants.
Registration Open
Registration is now open; discounted rates are available through the end of the year. Further information and registration forms are available online on the event’s website.
