The Lägern Classic is taking place for the fifth time on the grounds of Huba Control and on the Tägerhardring in Würenlos. Two-, three- and four-wheeled classics will meet there on September 4, 2022. Due to its great success, the popular cruise around the Lägern will once again be part of the program. The Lägern Classic lasts from 9 am to 4 pm.
Popular
Old vehicles are very popular - with owners as well as the general public. This has been impressively demonstrated by the first editions of the Lägern Classic: Up to 900 cars and motorcycles and up to 5,000 visitors met in Würenlos.
Stefan Mathys, President of the Lägern Classic Association: "When the four of us simply started trying to organize a classic car meeting in the Limmat Valley five years ago, we didn't know whether it could work and whether there would really be any interest. After four events, even under difficult conditions with two coronavirus years, we know that the concept works. My founding members Patrick Huber, Dino Graf and I, who are still active, are delighted that we gave it a try. There are now six of us in the OC and we can count on the help of the members of the Lägern Classic association."
Best of
In 2022, the organizing association Lägern Classic will once again combine the two forms of meeting and cruise tour. On the one hand, there will once again be a meeting at the usual location on the grounds of Huba Control AG and the newly designed Tägerhardring in Würenlos, and on the other hand, a cruise tour around the Lägern will be organized again, combined with a photo hunt with attractive prizes to be won.
The fifth edition should once again be a rendezvous for friends of old sheet metal and iron, whether on two, three or four wheels.
"There is evidence that there are many classic vehicles in the Limmat Valley catchment area, so there needs to be an opportunity to show and marvel at them. We are glad that other classic car enthusiasts also see it that way," say the members of the organizing association Lägern Classic with conviction.
Uncomplicated and inexpensive
The event starts at 9 a.m. when the festival grounds around Huba Control AG at Industriestrasse 17 open. Then the technical and motoring discussions can begin. Either directly at the Oldie or in the covered catering area, which offers a varied range of food and drink. Or you can marvel at one of the special exhibitions organized by the OC.
Admission costs five francs per vehicle and is open to vintage and classic cars built up to 2002. Admission is free for visitors.
Please note: On Sunday, September 4, Industriestrasse will only be open to one-way traffic from Würenlos to Wettingen.
