Rattling engines, the smell of engine oil and a touch of nostalgia; these are the attributes of the 4th Lenzerheide Motor Classics. Around 110 classic racing and sports cars as well as 20 racing motorcycles and sidecars are expected in the Lenzerheide vacation region on the weekend of June 12 - 14, 2015.
Enjoyment and driving pleasure take priority
At the Lenzerheide Motor Classics, the focus is not on speed, but on the enjoyment of driving and the vehicles. There is no timekeeping, ranking lists, speed limits or noise regulations. Instead, it is the impressive performance of the historic vehicles that attracts attention.
There will be two sessions of 25 minutes per day for each racing field, which means two hours of total driving time or almost 100 km of driving experience over the entire weekend.
Also interesting for spectators
Because the classic riders ride in groups on a circular mountain course in Lenzerheide, they pass the spectators several times and at short intervals. The result is more fun and less waiting time, and word has gotten around - and not just among the locals.
The route runs for 2.45 km from the start of the village of Lenzerheide along the lake to the Rothorn valley station. It continues via Dieschen sot past the sports center back to the village entrance. It is the highest-altitude circuit in the world.
Race taxi rides for race-loving spectators
Adrenaline and racing fever are promised by the race taxi rides. The Lenzerheide Motor Classics can be experienced from the driver's perspective in 10 minutes, i.e. around half of the race. Adrenaline and racing fever are guaranteed! One lap costs CHF 100.
Admitted are...
...racing and sports cars built up to 1993 including monoposto and special vehicles and racing motorcycles built up to 1976. Preference will be given to vehicles with an interesting history.
