When the exhibition grounds in Friedrichshafen become the stage for historic mobility on land, on water and in the air, it's time again for Klassikwelt Bodensee. From June 12 to 14, 2026, the classic and vintage car scene will come together for the 17th edition of the trade fair event for historic mobility.
"Our aim is to make classic mobility more visible as a cultural asset and to consciously pass on the enthusiasm for this hobby to a young target group. Klassikwelt Bodensee offers the perfect mix of vehicle history, a meeting point for the scene and a live experience," say Roland Bosch and Holger Ewald, project managers at Messe Friedrichshafen.
Past brands and a journey back in time to the 90s
In 2026, Klassikwelt Bodensee will focus in particular on the culture of automotive remembrance. A new special show is dedicated to past brands that were once present on the hoods of Europe, but are now very rarely seen at events. These include Adler, Horch and Delahaye, for example.
Following the success of the 70s and 80s special shows from the last two years, an exhibition on the nineties is planned for 2026. The vehicles from this decade are regarded as the interface between analogue driving culture and the onset of digitalization.
Commercial vehicle history in Hall A2
Historic buses and trucks document the development of commercial vehicle mobility in Hall A2. In addition, the Steim car collection from Schramberg and the Bavarian Fire Brigade Museum from Waldkaiburg will be exhibiting around 20 historic fire engines. The spectrum ranges from early manual pumpers to modern airport fire engines and illustrates technological progress, body variants and operational history.
Racing sound meets aerial acrobatics
The Vintage Demo Race on the 1.6-kilometer circuit offers a journey back in time to the days of racing. Among the numerous classic vehicles on two, three and four wheels this year are 12 DTM cars representing the touring car era of the 80s and 90s. The pilots of the air show will be performing breathtaking aerial acrobatics with historic aircraft. Both program items take place daily.
