Veterama kicks off 2014 with a very special event: from March 28 to 30, 2014, the event will be held at the Hockenheimring. The move from Ludwigshafen to Hockenheim last year has proven to be a step forward for the classic and vintage car scene. The number of Veterama participants has once again increased enormously.
Spare parts for collectors, enthusiasts and frequent drivers
There are currently around 6.5 million classic and vintage cars in Germany. Youngtimers that are between 15 and 29 years old and classic cars that are 30 years old and older. The number of classic vehicles has grown continuously over the past 5 years.
Some of the vehicles are owned by enthusiastic collectors. Others drive the slightly older vehicle more regularly. Then there are those who use the classic vehicle as a lifestyle symbol to stand out from the crowd. All of these three groups of people need spare parts to keep their vehicle running and to maintain it. The collector spends far more money on this than the group of people who use the vehicle on a daily basis or have purchased it as a lifestyle product.
All three: drivers, collectors and individualists need parts and accessories. And Veterama offers them a huge marketplace.
Ideal grounds at the Hockenheimring
The ideal conditions of the grounds at the Hockenheimring contribute to the diversity of the market and the atmosphere. We now finally have the opportunity to offer dealers a great atmosphere in the glass pavilion in the middle of the paddock for presentation purposes or new product launches, as well as vendors with high-quality vehicles. Dealers from all over the world have registered in large numbers.
The marketplace for complete vehicle sales offers a diverse selection. The stands are divided into pure car, motorcycle and mixed areas for better orientation.
Good transport connections, sufficient parking spaces, camping sites directly at the event site, solid ground, covered spaces and, last but not least, the unique atmosphere of the Hockenheimring.
Attractions on the race track
This year, for the first time, there will also be a small supporting program on the race track, where the international drift series IDS will be a guest at the Motordrom. In addition, the show arena, which was already an absolute crowd-puller in Ludwigshafen, will now also take place in Hockenheim.
The big anniversary next year
Veterama will be celebrating an anniversary in 2015. It will be 40 years old and will thus have become a classic car itself.
