Grégory de Sybourg has always been deeply immersed in the world of speed and passion, a tradition that runs through his family's history. His father, an airplane and helicopter pilot, his mother, multiple participations in the Rallye des Gazelles, including second place twice, and of course his grandfather, the legend Jo Siffert, endurance pilot and Formula 1 driver.
Grégory got his first kart at the age of seven and took part in his first championship in 2012. For eight years, he continued to develop in the various Swiss championships and in all categories, with several podium places and victories crowning this period. But that was by no means the end of it. On the contrary; it was the start of a promising motorsport career.
In 2021, Grégory fulfilled his dream of driving a formula as well as a Funyo prototype and the following year he was already driving a Funyo SP05 in the "2022 - Sprint Cup By Funyo Championship". The result after 24 races was a total of six podium finishes, including a victory in Barcelona, which earned him the title of "Champion Espoir 2022"!
In 2023, he then competed in the "Ultimate Cup Series" with the "DIMAB Motorsport by ANS Team" at the wheel of a NOVA NP02 together with Fribourg driver Karen Gaillard! The young team impressed in all six 4-hour races, some of which were night races, with fast, faultless driving and podium finishes. Only technical problems and longer mandatory stops than their direct competitors ultimately prevented them from winning the championship. But being runner-up in your debut season is still impressive!
In 2024, the journey will take a big step forward in a highly competitive, well-known championship with races at Spa, Zandvoort, Red Bull Ring, Nürburgring and Hockenheim, among others. Grégory will officially announce his program under the "DIMAB Motorsport" banner.
So far so good... These are impressive successes in a fiercely contested and extremely competitive environment.
