Peter Kurze has been buying up the estates of photographers for around 20 years. The rights to almost 100,000 pictures can be used for a number of things. For example, Peter Kurze has published various books that reflect the flair of the reconstruction period in West Germany. For 2017, 26 photographs were unearthed from the archive, which we can see in two calendars.
The Borgward calendar 2017
The Borgward calendar 2017 commemorates the cars that Bremen industrialist Carl F. W. Borgward produced in the Hanseatic city in the 1950s.
The historical color photos show, for example, the chic Isabella Coupé, the sophisticated Hansa 2400 Pullman or the elegant Isabella Cabriolet. Trucks such as the B 1500 are also represented in the pictures.
The photos are originals by the factory photographers and are presented on 13 pages in 30 x 21 cm format.
The DKW calendar 2017
The 2017 DKW calendar is reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s, when DKW two-strokes could be seen everywhere on the roads.
The historical photographs are color originals from the period. The 13 pictures are a reminder of the diversity of the post-war period. The 1000 SP Coupé, the AU1000 Universal, the AU Sport Coupé as well as the DKW Monza on the Nürburgring and other cars from the Düsseldorf and Ingolstadt factories can be seen.
