It was the highest-priced auction on Swiss soil in 2013, the event on the occasion of the Dolder Classics, organized by the Oldtimer Galerie. Record prices were achieved for an Alfa Romeo 6C and a Bugatti 49, and the price level in general was also considerable. This was of course also due to the exclusive range of cars on offer, which included many sought-after classics from AC to the VW Beetle.
Towards new records
In 2014, Reinhard Schmidlin from the Oldtimer Galerie in Toffen wants to do everything even better, continue what has been tried and tested and once again cause a stir with an exceptional overall offering. The location on the Zürichberg, so to speak above the rooftops of Zurich, appeals to him and the number of visitors in 2013 left little to be desired.
Facel Vega, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Bentley ...
The first vehicles that will go under the hammer on June 7, 2014 are already known, including a Facel Vega FV3 from 1957, a Jaguar XK 120 OTS from 1954 and a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II Convertible from 1960, a similar car was driven by Brigitte Bardot, among others. The Facel Vega in particular has been flying high in recent months, with six-figure euro sums being offered even for barely restorable ruins.
