Under the motto "Enjoyment takes time", the ADAC Trentino Classic starts on August 27, 2013 for the traditional classic carhike in the autonomous province of Trentino in northern Italy.
This time, the international field of participants with classic cars from all eras of automotive transportation will gather in the vacation resort of Cavalese in Val di Fiemme until August 31. The starting and finishing point of the day's tours is around 30 kilometers north of the provincial capital of Trento.
Passes and valleys in the Dolimites
Over four days, around 100 historic and classic cars will explore the landscapes to the west and east of the Adige Valley, climb passes in the Dolomites and roll along picturesque rivers. The Cembra Valley, tours in South Tyrol and the Sella Pass are on the program, as are San Martino di Castrozza and the Val di Non. The culture, cellars and cuisine of this diverse region offer hikers ideal opportunities for "WPs" - hiking breaks, as the special stages are called here.
Instead of stopwatches, there will be culinary delights, scenic highlights and historical sights as well as numerous scoring questions and tasks at the stage finishes.
30 different brands at the start
The list of participants includes a total of 30 different brands and three model year classes. International names from bygone eras such as Riley, Facel Vega, Horch and Borgward will be taking part. This year, fans of Italian brands can look forward to rare models such as an Intermeccanica Indra from 1971 and a Fiat 130 Coupé built in 1974.
Also a Concorso d'Eleganza
On Thursday, August 29, 2013, the Concorso d'Eléganza will showcase all the treasures, also to the delight of interested residents and tourists. AUTOSTADT is donating three fine watches from Chronoswiss as the main prizes.
The overall winners will be honored with the "Grande Farfalla d'Oro", the great golden butterfly of Trentino, at the closing evening on 30 August.
