RM Sotheby's is leading an auction of three remarkable Ferrari Daytonas, including a 1973 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione with Le Mans and Daytona history.
The Daytonas will be offered through RM Sotheby's Sealed Bid Platform, with the auction beginning on June 5 and ending on June 26.
"It is rare to see three such significant Daytonas offered together," said Shelby Myers, Global Head of Private Sales at RM Sotheby's. "From the N.A.R.T. Competizione campaign car to the unrestored Coupé and well-preserved Spider, they each illuminate a different chapter of the 365 GTB/4's history and together represent the perfect trifecta of Daytonas for any collection."
Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione from 1973
The first of five third-series Daytona Competizione built by Ferrari was delivered new to Luigi Chinetti's North American Racing Team (NART) and raced by them in 1973 and 1974.
He took part twice in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and three times in the 24 Hours of Daytona, where he achieved his best result in 1975: 7th place overall and 1st place in class.
The car with chassis number 16343 was acquired by its current owner over 20 years ago and has since participated in prestigious events such as the Le Mans Classic, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Tour Auto and the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
The estimate is between USD 5.5 and 7.5 million.
Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider from 1973
The 110th of only 121 Daytona Spiders (chassis 17051) built by Ferrari. This example was delivered new to Southern California and is being offered after almost 40 years in single ownership within one of the world's most important Ferrari collections.
It has been driven less than 2000 miles since its acquisition by the consignor in 1986 and is a beautiful example of one of Ferrari's most desirable convertible sports cars.
The estimate amounts to USD 2 to 2.5 million
Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Berlinetta from 1972
This fascinating Daytona Coupé with chassis number 14123 was purchased new by Willet H. Brown, a Los Angeles television station executive, and is certainly one of the most original examples in existence.
The current owner acquired the Daytona from Brown's estate in 1995 and has carefully maintained it over the last 30 years.
RM Sotheby's estimates the value of the coupé at USD 600,000 to 800,000.
