On Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Rheinpark shopping center in St. Margrethen, SG, will once again become a gathering place for fans of historic vehicles. Around 1,000 classic and youngtimers from Switzerland and neighboring countries are expected to attend the 26th Historic Vehicle Show.
Cars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles from numerous eras will transform the area around the Rheinpark into a large, rolling exhibition for one day. From classics from the early years of automotive history to iconic vehicles from the 1950s and 1960s, right up to popular youngtimers from the 1980s and 1990s, there is plenty for visitors to discover.
Over the years, the Historic Vehicle Show has become a popular gathering place for vehicle owners, collectors, families, and tech enthusiasts. Numerous participants from neighboring countries also showcase their vehicles, ensuring a diverse field of participants from across the DACH region.
Classic Car Parts Flea Market for Collectors and Mechanics
The classic car parts flea market is a staple of the Historic Vehicle Show.
Spare parts, accessories, rarities, and finds related to historic vehicles invite visitors to search, browse, and talk shop.
In addition to the vehicles, the focus is above all on personal interaction. Owners and visitors strike up conversations, exchange experiences, and share their enthusiasm for historic mobility.
Passing on Enthusiasm to the Next Generation
For decades, a special priority of the Historische Verkehrsschau association has been to inspire younger people to take an interest in historic vehicles and technology. Youngtimers not only tell the story of automotive history; they also allow visitors to experience and understand technology firsthand.
That’s why families, teenagers, and young car enthusiasts are especially welcome.
Admission is free for youth under 18 as well as for participants with classic and youngtimer cars.
