On January 12, 2014, a well-attended Concours d'Elegance was held at the Arizona Biltmore for the Scottsdale Auction Week opening.
The winner was a 1926 Hispano-Suiza H6B Cabriolet de Ville. The owner Donald Nicols had found the car with Kellner bodywork in Florida in 1970 and then completely restored it over the years.
75 vehicles took part in the Concours, carefully selected by a broad-based jury. Over 150 entries had to be sifted out in the run-up to the event, and cars such as the Cord 812 from 1937, a Lister Jaguar from 1958 and a Toyota 2000 GT from 1967 were invited.
John Carlson acted as head of the jury. Meanwhile, Keith Martin from Sports Car Market acted as "host" of the event, which was primarily dedicated to Americans and is set to continue next year.
