Since 2011, classic car enthusiasts in the Heidiland region have been organizing a two-day event for like-minded people every summer. Due to the pandemic, the 10th Heidi Classic will take place with a slight delay from June 16 to 19, 2022. A good reason to let the event grow. This rally will remain a family event, but at the request of previous participants, the Heidi Classic 2021 will be extended by one day - and a classic car excursion. The evening program is also worthy of an anniversary.
Cozy
Since the very beginning, the Heidi Classic has focused on the joy of historic vehicles, the love of classic bodies and old engines. Sitting together after the drive and talking shop or working on the engine with the support of another participant are things that Heidi Classic participants appreciate.
As usual, the 10th Heidi Classic will start in three categories: "Sport" (route length approx. 220 km, average speed 35-40 km/h), "Classic" (route length approx. 180 km, average speed 30-35 km/h), "Relax & Drive" (route length approx. 180 km, no evaluation and skill tests).
Festive
The evening program of the anniversary event will include a panel discussion with two top-class guests from the racing scene. Manfred Schurti - 1970 Formula Vee World Champion, 1972 Formula Super Vee European Champion and former Porsche works driver in the 24 Hours of Le Mans - and Urs Kuratle - Head of Testing & Racing at Porsche in Stuttgart, former chief mechanic at Sauber in Formula 1 - guarantee a talk with plenty of drive. This first meeting between the Liechtenstein racing legend and the former chief mechanic, who grew up in the Heidiland region and Igis, promises exciting insights.
Elegant
The grand finale traditionally takes place in the form of a "Prix d'Elégance" in the center of Bad Ragaz. Classic car fans from near and far can marvel at the rally cars up close and chat with their owners. Food and drink will be provided and the live band "Tears for Beers" will provide the musical backdrop.
The list of participants for this anniversary event is already well filled - the "Heidi Classic family" has grown steadily since the first edition and has remained loyal to the event. However, a few starting places are still available; the registration deadline is May 29, 2022.
You can register directly on the Heid Classic website.
