The Grand Prix Caracciola is a well-established rally event that has been held every year since 2013 (2018 was omitted).
Historic rally cars up to 1973 are permitted, younger cars up to 1979 on request.
On September 12-14, 2019, you will ride through Franconian Switzerland in the Steigerwald and through the vineyards of the Mainschleife.
The first stage will lead from Bamberg Cathedral Square to Bayreuth and Hersbruck after a vehicle inspection and driver briefing in Bamberg. Afterwards, it's off to Seehof Castle in Memmelsdorf. The first day's driving ends at the Bamberg Residential Palace.
On Saturday, the route leads from Bamberg to the Mainschleife vineyard and the Steigerwald Motodrom, and finally back to Bamberg in the old town in the evening, where the gala evening is also on the program.
So three days of enjoyment and sport with friends are on the agenda, with the rally hotel in the old town of Bamberg being the starting point for each stage.
The rally is organized by the Scuderia Caracciola e.V., so to speak by rally drivers for rally drivers.
Participation, which costs EUR 1690 if you register by February 28, 2019, is also linked to a good cause, as one euro cent per penalty point goes to the Jose Carreras Leukemia Foundation.
The entry fee includes an underground parking space in the Residenzschlosshotel, branded team clothing,
valuable prizes, professional online timekeeping and technical support and towing service.
Further information about the rally and many pictures of past events can be found on the event website.
