The Grand Prix Carracciola is being held for the third time in honor of Rudolf Caracciola, this time in Prien am Chiemsee. The whole thing is also taking place for a good cause - the proceeds go to the Jose Carreras Foundation against leukemia and other blood diseases.
Over 80 international rally drivers will start with their cars from 1913-1973, which will complete a regularity test in the center of Prien. So you can enjoy a touch of historical racing atmosphere.
The Prien Grand Prix is all about accuracy, not speed, although the historic vehicles, some of which are 60-85 years old, can keep up with modern road traffic at any time. A display on the market square will show the small deviation from the specified time with which the rally participants complete this test. On Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10, the cars will start at 8:30 a.m. in Prien at the harbour before returning to Prien am Chiemsee after a daily stage of approx. 300 km.
Campaign of the Scuderia Rudolf Caracciola e.V.
