To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the legendary nine-hour race at Goodwood, the Freddie March Memorial Trophy will be held as a 90-minute race at dusk on Friday evening to mark this year's revival. At the start will be cars that also competed for victory 60 years ago, e.g. Jaguar C Type, Aston Martin DB3, DB3S, Maserati A6G, Ferrari 750 Monza, Austin-Healey 100S, Cooper Bristol, Cunningham C4R, Allard or HWM. The start will be at 18:15.
Ford GT 40 in the center
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT 40, the Whitsun Trophy will be dedicated to the legendary sports car. A large number of these endurance racers are expected to take part together with related vehicles from the years before 1966.
Ferrari 250 LM against the competitors of the time
In the race as part of the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration, a number of Ferrari 250 LMs will compete against the then opposition from Jaguar, AC, Aston Martin and Maserati.
An extremely rare Ferrari Monoposto, a Ferrari 1512 from 1964, driven by John Surtees at the time, will compete in the Glover Trophy.
Many attractions
The Goodwood Revival 2013 will take place from September 13 to 15 and, as always, will feature many special attractions, from children's pedal car races and special runs on bicycles to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France to the daring races of the touring cars.
However - the Goodwood Revival is sold out, at least according to the organizers.
