Motorworld Region Zürich in Kemptthal and autobau Erlebniswelt in Romanshorn are celebrating their joint event premiere for the Goodwood Revival "the Swiss way" from September 8 to 10, 2023. The special feature: Not only will the live broadcast of the British event flicker across the screen at both venues, but the entire supporting program on site will also focus on nostalgic automotive highlights. Visitors are also encouraged to enhance the happening with a classic outfit.
Movie-like atmosphere
Historic racing cars, period clothing, an almost cinematic backdrop and, above all, an atmosphere unlike any other: The Goodwood Revival in Great Britain takes people back to the most beautiful eras of past automotive history. And it exudes so much charm and authenticity that there is hardly anyone who does not leave their own time and space on this weekend.
The fact that neither bones nor bodies are spared in the stylish races held here on the Goodwood Circuit puts the icing on the cake. The organizers in Switzerland bring all of this to the screen live and in color at both locations. And there's even more.
Two locations, one connection
On the Goodwood weekend, a historic Büssing double-decker bus will "shuttle" guests between Motorworld Region Zürich and the autobau Erlebniswelt in an approximately one-hour drive.
In addition to the live streams, the special features of the locations can also be fully enjoyed: autobau offers a unique vehicle collection including the Aston Martin archive and Clay Regazzoni Honor Room; Motorworld Manufaktur Region Zürich is at the start with an impressive backdrop, extraordinary vehicles, lifestyle and culinary variety.
Goodwood feeling on a Swiss track
The two venues will be connected in yet another special way: Open Air Tours™, for example, will be offering a breathtaking tour on Sunday entitled "Move your classic car over the Seerücken / Goodwood 'Made in Switzerland'" from the Motorworld stuThe tour can be driven either in your own car or in a classic car hired from Motorworld partner "Rent a Classic". In addition, the Older Classics will also take place on the Motorworld site on Sunday - an event that has now become a celebrated veterans' get-together.
Unforgettable
"We promise visitors to the Swiss Edition of the Goodwood Revival 2023 an eventful time filled to the brim with automotive history," says Christoph Baer, Center Manager of Motorworld Region Zurich. "Anyone who wants to really recharge their batteries at the end of the summer should polish up their classic car and iron on the right outfit. Anyone heading for a family outing with unforgettable moments will also reach their destination. There is a lot to see!"
