Galerie Fischer, the oldest Swiss art auction house (founded in 1907) and one of Europe's leading art auction houses, will be holding an international auction of classic cars on May 28, 2016 in Lucerne as part of the successful Swiss Classic World trade fair.
"We were repeatedly asked by existing customers and collectors with a great passion for classic cars whether, as one of the leading auction houses in Europe, we could also hold an international auction in this area in Switzerland," explains Dr. Kuno Fischer, co-owner, managing director and auctioneer of Galerie Fischer in Lucerne. "Our research has shown that Switzerland has considerable potential for the sale of selected classic cars, both in terms of quality and demand. In addition, discussions with collectors and dealers in Switzerland and abroad confirm that Switzerland, with its established international auction house, can also be a good place for a traditional international classic car auction platform. Last but not least, myself and the team share the same enthusiasm and passion for classic cars with collectors as we do for art."
As a team
Together with the partners Franks Originale (owner, managing director and expert Frank Lutz) and Swiss Classic World (initiator, founder and managing director Bernd Link), there is now a committed, experienced team that creates the best conditions for a successful, internationally oriented auction.
The partners combine their knowledge and experience in the field of researching, describing and marketing classic cars on the one hand and initiating, conducting and handling international auctions on the other. Both sellers and buyers will benefit from the combined expertise, experience and know-how in the documentation and realization of this Fischer Classic Car Auction.
As part of the Swiss Classic World Lucerne
The preview of the Classic Car Auction will take place on May 27 and 28, 2016, and the auction on May 28, 2016, at the Swiss Classic World in Lucerne. In just a few years, Swiss Classic World has already developed into an important trade fair for the Swiss classic car scene, attracting both national and international exhibitors and visitors. It provides the ideal platform for the presentation, marketing and organization of the Fischer Classic Car Auction.
The auction benefits from the ever-growing attention and quality of the fair among classic car enthusiasts year after year; at the same time, the fair and the exhibitors will benefit from the auction and the associated increased national and international publicity and attention. Both activities ultimately serve a vital, diversified classic car scene in Switzerland, which in turn benefits dealers, restorers, classic car clubs and the Swiss classic car market itself.
