At Swiss Classic World 2025 from Friday, May 30, to Sunday, June 1, 2025, fans of vintage and classic cars will meet at the Lucerne Exhibition Center. For three days, its forecourt will become an adventure zone for young and old - with pre-war and classic cars on display that are otherwise only seen in museums.
The Swiss Classic World is not a trade fair in the traditional sense. Because at Switzerland's largest event for classic and vintage cars, the cars are not just standing motionless in the exhibition halls - they are also being driven in front of visitors' eyes.
Nowhere else can you experience the moving cultural asset that is the automobile so closely (and even drive it yourself) as at the driving events called "Forever young" and "Harder than Steel".
Forever young - young classics
Today's youngtimer cars, which are at least 20 years old, are the classic cars of tomorrow. They are particularly popular with young people because they are more affordable to buy and maintain than some classic cars. The crowds at the "Forever young" classic car event organized by Swiss Classic World, which takes place on Saturday, 31 May and is already fully booked, are correspondingly large.
On this day, around 90 youngtimer cars will meet in Adligenswil and drive along an attractive route to the Lucerne Exhibition Center, where they will drive across the exhibition stage in Hall 2 at around 12 noon and then be lined up and admired on the forecourt in front of the exhibition hall.
Harder than steel - rolling museum pieces
Switzerland has a high density of historically valuable vehicles whose owners are happy to share their enthusiasm with others. Pre-war vehicles built up to 1950 in particular are rarely seen in motion on public roads these days.
The Swiss Classic World offers just such an opportunity: "Harder than Steel" is the driving event at which around 40 registered pre-war vehicles can be admired on a circuit rally around Lake Baldegg and Lake Sempach on Sunday, June 1. The morning drive will take them from Adligenswil to the Lucerne Exhibition Center, where the veterans will drive through Exhibition Hall 2 at around 12 noon and then line up on the forecourt.
All information about the driving events at Swiss Classic World 2025 can be found on the Lucerne classic car fair website.
