Everything revolves around automotive enthusiasm here: from November 30 to December 8 (Preview Day: November 29), the Essen Motor Show, the horsepower festival for all car fans, opens at Messe Essen. More than 500 exhibitors and over 300,000 expected visitors will ensure great emotions on the entire exhibition grounds. As Europe's leading event for sporty vehicles, the Essen Motor Show includes sports cars, tuning & lifestyle, motor sports and classic cars. Entertainment is also provided by the Motorsport Arena and exciting special shows. New this year: a special exhibition with well-known racing cars from the history of motorsport.
Cross-series special show
Fans of sporty series vehicles cannot miss the Essen Motor Show. Well-known manufacturers and suppliers will present themselves in Hall 3: in addition to the ADAC as the conceptual sponsor of the PS Festival, the public can look forward to the Mercedes Fan World as well as appearances by KW, the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, Skoda, Volkswagen and ZF. The cross-series special show "Power of Motorsport" will celebrate its premiere with 16 vehicles, including a Ford GT40 as one of the highlights. The Crazy Cars and Design Cars in the immediate vicinity are also somewhere between artistically valuable and trendsetting, including a car with a James Bond look and an electric study inspired by Leonardo da Vinci.
Tuning conquers the clubs and cities
Tuning enthusiasts from all over Europe travel to Essen to experience new trends. That's why the Essen Motor Show is dedicating five halls to the theme of Tuning & Lifestyle. The exhibitors' offerings range from rims and tires to chassis and car hi-fi to care products and accessories. If you are considering a tuned new car or would like to have your car modified by a professional, visit one of the many tuners in Halls 5, 6, 7 and 8. Many exhibitors also supply the right clothing: Shirts, hoodies and caps transport the tuning lifestyle into the clubs and onto the streets.
With the initiative TUNE IT! SAFE! initiative and the Association of Automobile Tuners, the Essen Motor Show in Hall 7 has two partners at its side who are committed to safe and reputable tuning. According to the association, products that improve the visual appearance, such as alloy wheels, suspension components and LED headlights, are particularly popular. Many owners opt for a vehicle that is already extensively equipped ex works as a basis in order to then customize it. Visitors to the Essen Motor Show can admire the result in the tuningXperience in Halls 1A and 3. The special show includes around 160 of the most beautiful scene vehicles from private owners - from daily drivers and motorsport cars to moderately tuned classics.
Customer sport and track days are the trends in motorsport
Motorsport has its home in Halls 4 and 5, where the German Sports Drivers' Association, Hockenheimring, Mustang Owners Club, Nürburgring and VLN will be presenting themselves. In the Motorsport Arena in Hall 4, exhibitors will showcase new vehicles and racing cars. If you want to step on the gas yourself, you can make the right contacts in Essen: many sports car manufacturers entice their buyers with their own racing cars, in which amateur drivers can compete in one-make cups. The track days organized by providers such as the German Sports Drivers' Circle are cheaper: these driving training sessions allow car owners to take their vehicle to a racetrack and improve their skills there.
Sports cars have been thrilling their fans since the early 20th century. And take their drivers and viewers back to a time long thought forgotten. When not everything was better, but driving was still genuine and unadulterated in the eyes of many classic car enthusiasts. This fascination is palpable in the Classic & Prestige Salon of the organizer S.I.H.A. under the roof of the Essen Motor Show. Over 250 classic automobiles will be for sale in Halls 1 and 2, exuding the scent of the past. In addition, there will be several special shows with unsaleable super sports cars and well-known vehicles from film and television.
