On November 26, 2015, the world's first Porsche Classic Center was opened in Gelderland, just outside Arnhem in the Netherlands, exclusively offering all services related to classic and vintage cars from Zuffenhausen. For the first time, service, workshop and sales for classic sports cars are united under one roof. In addition, further Porsche Classic Centers are to follow worldwide, thus tightening the Porsche Classic network even further.
Separate areas for classic sports cars
Over 70 percent of all vehicles ever produced by Porsche are still on the road today. To ensure that this remains the case in the future and to ensure optimum care and reconditioning of classic cars, Porsche has planned an international dealer and service network with around 100 bases by 2018. These will mainly be Porsche Centers that service sports cars from earlier eras as well as current vehicles.
Customers and interested parties can therefore expect the complete range of Porsche Classic services there, including the supply of around 52,000 original spare parts, complete and partial restorations, repair and maintenance work as well as classic vehicle trading. The Porsche Classic partners have set up a separate area with classic exhibition vehicles, current spare parts and technical literature and information.
Special education and training concept for all employees
The network currently comprises 24 certified Porsche Classic Partners worldwide. Ten of these are located in Germany, the others in Estonia, France, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Hungary, South Africa, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. New ones are to be established in Australia, Belgium, Canada and the USA, among others. The Porsche Classic Partners offer customers with their historic Porsche vehicles the appropriate local contacts who combine service and advice with expertise.
A special training concept was developed for this purpose, which the employees have undergone. This enables them to competently inform Classic customers in detail about typical damage patterns for each vehicle type, appropriate preventive measures and suitable repair options. Porsche Classic Partners have special tools and model-specific repair instructions to ensure the best possible maintenance and repairs. In this way, Porsche guarantees a uniformly high standard of quality at all Classic Centers.
