After the events on May 2, June 6 and July 4, 2021, the fourth Oldtimer Sunday Morning Meeting planned for August 1, 2021 at the Stierenstallungen Zug must now also be canceled.
Organizer Hübeli comments: "Federal Berne issues rules, the canton of Zug, once again a model canton and I mean that very seriously, abides by them. Another example is Zurich, which takes a more relaxed approach and would much rather discuss the introduction of a city-wide 30 km/h speed limit. The reason is noise. Actually positive. The people of Zurich could sleep better and longer. This would perhaps put their voting results back on a more economic track ..."
Hübeli's frustration is understandable, as larger public festivals with thousands of people are indeed possible elsewhere. So why should the OSMT in Zug, which is largely held outdoors, be left to languish?
Now all hope is pinned on September 12, 2021, because that's when the next event is planned.
Let's hope it works out then and the fourth wave doesn't throw a spanner in the works.
