As the traditional Oldtimer Grand Prix Safenwil cannot/may not take place this year, the Emil Frey Classics team has come up with an alternative. This means that all those who have already booked August 21, 2021 firmly in their agenda can still experience a day with and around the old cars and other visitors are of course also welcome.
An exciting and entertaining program will be offered from 08:00 to 16:15. The meeting point in the morning is the Classic Car Workshop on Schürmattstrasse. Free parking is available on Schürmattstrasse. From the parking lot, the Classic Car Workshop can be reached within a few minutes' walk in the direction of Toyota Betriebs AG.
Extensive and varied program
Five different stations are on offer:
- Classic Car Workshop
The "hallowed halls" of the Emil Frey Classics workshop are on display, with in-depth insights into the engine workshop, the electrical workshop and the tinsmith's shop. Of course, there will also be expert staff on hand to talk shop with. - Emil Frey Racing
This weekend, the Emil Frey Racing team happens not to be at any European race track, but at home in the workshop here in Safenwil. The doors will be open and of course you can learn a lot about the current GT3 racing cars and the format of the currently most competitive GT3 racing series in the world, in which Emil Frey Racing participates. - Driver training
On the track of the Driving Center Switzerland, where the Oldtimer Grand Prix normally takes place, a unique experience can be offered. Participants get to know themselves and their classic car (or even their current everyday car) better. Various driving maneuvers offer the opportunity to improve driving safety. - Electromobility
The drive of the future. The alternative drive concepts of the future are presented in a neutral way: advantages, disadvantages, but also where the combustion engine still has its chances. The much-discussed alternatives from various brands can also be experienced on test drives - Guided tour of the museum
A guided tour through the three-storey museum gives Classics Day participants an insight into the history of the Emil Frey Group and its automobile brands, expertly accompanied by a specialist.
The stomach is also catered for
Of course there's also something to eat. In the morning, the Emil Frey Classics workshop will be serving a delicious "Landfrauen-z'Morge" (countrywomen's lunch).
Further information can be found on the Emil Frey Classics website, where you can also register directly. The contribution towards expenses is CHF 89.00 per person.
