After a break due to the Olympics, classic cars will be driving through Paris again on January 12, 2025. The one-day event is organized by the "Vincennes en Anciennes Club", one of the largest multi-brand classic car clubs in France.
Around 30 kilometers in the city
Around 30 km will be driven, all within Paris. This will certainly please fans of historic vehicles, as around 700 teams in cars, motorcycles, bicycles, commercial vehicles, tractors and buses of vintage age (older than 30 years) will be taking part.
Many teams will dress historically correct or draw attention to themselves with special campaigns.
Forgotten brands
Vehicles from long-forgotten brands such as Hotchkiss, De Dion-Bouton, Delage, Deutsch et Bonnet, Terrot, Dollar and others are also expected in Paris. Of course, brands that are still present today, such as Renault, Peugeot, Citroën and Volkswagen, will also be represented.
One can hope to see vehicles from many different countries and certainly also some curiosities that were built sometime before 1995.
Horsepower of a different kind
An (optional) highlight of the day for participants is lunch at the Vincennes Hippodrome. It's an opportunity to catch up with friends and after all the mechanical horsepower of the morning, a different kind of horsepower will be in action. Of course, betting is also possible.
Some of the cars and coaches will return to the south forecourt of the Château de Vincennes to welcome more spectators.
"What makes us happy at the Traversées de Paris is that people can see that we are organizing an event that is undeniably popular. There is a great response from the public - faces light up and thumbs go up as the vehicles pass by. Some become nostalgic when they think of their youth in these cars, others simply discover machines from another era. The Traversée de Paris in historic vehicles is intergenerational and honors our automotive heritage," sums up Patrick Gomez, President of Vincennes en Anciennes.
