More than 50 years after Carlo Chiti and Giotto Bizzarrini, among others, gave the starting signal for the Italian sports and racing car company ATS, the ATS (Automobili Turismo e Sport) brand is once again presenting a super sports car. This was done in style at the "Salon Privé" at Blenheim Palace on the occasion of the highly acclaimed Concours d'Elégance.
The ATS 2500 GTS launched in the 1960s will then stand alongside the new ATS GT super sports car with V8 engine, twin turbo and DSG, of which only 12 units are to be produced in the first Lauch edition. This is fitting, as no more cars of the ATS 2500 GT/GTS were produced in the 1960s.
The new car was drawn by Emanuele Bomboi, while Franco Scaglione drew the original ATS.
It will be interesting to see what the new ATS will look like. And the "Salon Privé" concours is worth a visit anyway.
