The historic journey continues: at the next ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival from July 24 to 26, 2025 in and around Daun, the rolling rally museum will once again conquer the Volcanic Eifel. Over 160 original or faithfully reproduced vehicles from the history of this fascinating sport will once again delight tens of thousands of fans.
At the Eifel Rallye Festival, the vehicles, which are otherwise often only on display in museums and exhibitions, are also shown "in action" on closed-off demonstration routes. Thanks to the treasures from the 1960s to the group cars and the first WRC cars, the entire spectrum of the sport can also be experienced in 2025.
What began as an idea in 2012 is now an important part of safeguarding the history of rallying. All participants are becoming increasingly aware of how important it is to preserve the vehicles true to the original, and the quality of the starting field is increasing from year to year. The concept is gaining more and more friends, as there are now several international events that work along the lines of the Eifel Rallye Festival.
For the 2025 edition, the concept was adapted in two places in order to optimize the experience for participants and fans. Head of Organization Otmar Anschütz explains: "We will reduce the number of advance cars in favour of the festival field. At the same time, however, we will ensure that there is a selection of top teams for the fans, who will set the mood for the main field with their spectacular driving style."
The second adjustment concerns shifts in the timetable. Instead of the shakedown on Thursday, the festival will start on Friday morning with two additional stages. This means that Friday and Saturday will be completely dedicated to the demonstration drives. On Thursday, time will be set aside for the public scrutineering, during which all vehicles will be presented. The group photo, the drivers' briefing and the autograph session with the VIP drivers, which is so popular with the fans, will also take place before the welcome evening. "This means that all participants and fans can relax and enjoy the official kick-off with the open-air cinema together," explains Anschütz.
