The engines are roaring again this year in Bad Säckingen! As in the last two years, the former Eggberg race is returning as the Eggberg Classic. The route is legendary, the range of vehicles is wide and the participants and helpers are all enjoying themselves...
The Eggbergrennen
The historic Eggbergrennen Bad Säckingen took place from 2005 to 2012, since then the framework conditions for holding such an event have changed considerably. The new regulations state, among other things, that every participant must have a DMSB license. In addition, a number of safety precautions had to be taken. The race was presented in a new light when the first Eggberg Classic took place in 2015.
The route
The track to Egg was used for motorsport as early as 1913. It gained in importance between 1967 and 1988 when Fredy Amweg, Johann Abt, Walter Pedrazza and Herbert Stenger were among the starters.
In the last two years, the field of almost 120 cars was largely made up of classic car enthusiasts from the region. The announcement and entry form for the Eggberg Klassik 2017 have recently gone online.
