Retonio Breitenmoser and Richard Singh, founders of the Dutch Auction Company, will be holding a kind of networked classic car auction for the first time on September 28, 2024. The auction will take place simultaneously at two locations in two countries - with bidding in the hall and the option to bid online. The main venue is Degersheim in Switzerland. The auctioneers will be present and bidding will be possible on site.
The second venue is in Tilburg in the Netherlands, where the Dutch Auction Company traditionally operates. Bidding is also possible in the hall here. The colleagues on stage in Tilburg will pass on the bids to the auctioneers in Degersheim via a direct line and live stream connection with the auctioneers in Degersheim, Switzerland.
For those unable to attend in person, Dutch Auction Company will provide comprehensive online bidding options so that international participants can join the exciting event from anywhere in the world.
"With this unique auction setup, we offer multiple buyer groups in the perfect setting for a successful auction for sellers as well. Participants can look forward to an elegant atmosphere with drinks, catering and live entertainment," explains co-initiator Retonio Breitenmoser.
"Extravaganza" as a curated offering of timeless classics
Breitenmoser, the renowned auctioneer of the Toffen classic car gallery for 31 years, and Singh, known in Holland for high-quality auctions and good sales results since 1981, have put together an impressive selection of classic cars, including rare models and carefully restored classics. The auction on September 28 will offer a diverse selection ranging from pre-war models to sports cars from the 20th century.
The highlights include an Aston Martin DB2/4 from 1954, a Cadillac Sixty-Two Convertible from 1959, a Maserati 3500 GT from 1963, a Rolls-Royce Phantom V from 1966, a Stutz Bearcat II from 1988, a Bentley Mulsanne EWB from 2016 and a Ford GT from 2018. Classic Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Jaguar and Lotus will also be on display, so there will be something for every taste or budget, according to the organizers.
Auctions as entertainment
Dutch Auction Company auctions are designed to be an experience with fun, show and excitement. There are also VIP lounges for customers who value that "certain something" or their privacy. There are drinks, snacks and even a complete dinner show for buyers after the auction.
Registration of vehicles
Vehicles are still being accepted. A complete package is on offer, with the Dutch Auction Company taking care of the entire sales process. Each car will be visible on platforms in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, France, China and the USA. The full catalog of cars available for auction will be published in early September. This will be a printed and bound version. Pre-orders will soon be possible at www.dutchauctioncompany.com
