The International Concours of Elegance (The I.C.E for short) will take place in St. Moritz on January 30 and 31, 2026. The frozen lake in front of the spa town in the Grisons mountains will once again provide a spectacular backdrop for what is probably the coldest Concours in the world.
Preparations are already in full swing. There is a lot of work behind such a demanding event, as a look behind the scenes shows:
The special thing about "The I.C.E" is that the beautiful cars can not only be looked at, but also moved extensively. On the ice, the vehicles have to show that they are not just rolling works of art, but also operational driving machines.
It goes without saying that not only the cars should be dressed up, but also the visitors. The dress code is "Alpine comfy warm". In other words: mothball your fur coat as quickly as possible!
At last year's event, Marc Newson and his Bugatti Type 59 won the "Best in Show" title.
No wonder, his car adorns the poster of the event this year.
Procedure
The presentation of the exhibition vehicles and the evaluation by the judges will take place on Friday morning. On Saturday morning, it's off to the ice, where the participating cars have to complete two 20-minute runs. The class awards ceremony will take place on the lake on Saturday afternoon.
