The best time for the rustiest hobby in the world begins in 2015 with Veterama at the Hockenheimring. It is Europe's screwdriver market for cars and motorcycles and will take place this year from March 20 to 22, 2015.
The Hockenheimring becomes a spare parts warehouse
While the famous pits, the pit roof and the pavilion will be transformed into halls on the 3rd weekend in March, the spacious paddock, the crossbar and the entrance area will serve as an open-air area for the starting grid and the Hockenheimring will become a huge spare parts warehouse.
But not only parts, tools, historical reading material, workshop equipment, clothing, complete vehicles, clubs, auction houses, service providers and much more are on offer for collectors from all over Europe, but also unrestored vehicles on two and four wheels from the vintage, youngtimer and classic sectors.
Show Arena for visitors' vehicles
In the Veterama Show Arena, visitors can display their vehicles that are at least 25 years old to the general public free of charge on Saturdays and Sundays.
40 years of the BMW 3 Series, Porsche and Beetle
The BMW 3 Series Club will be holding a special exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the 3 Series.
The Penske Racing Team will be presenting some of its historic racing cars in the form of a Porsche 356, a Porsche 314 and a Turbo Porsche. The freshly restored Borgward Transporter will also be on display for the first time.
The VW Beetle Club Rhine-Neckar will also be exhibiting a number of its members' vehicles in the large tent on the pit roof.
Historic steep face as a special attraction
A very special attraction will be a historic steep face. Here, daring men on their old Indian machines will demonstrate how gravity can be replaced by centrifugal force in breathtaking acrobatics on the steep wooden wall.
