Numerous exceptional, well-preserved and restored vintage caravans, vintage motorhomes and camper vans will be on display in Bad Waldsee on August 10 and 11, 2019. They will transform the Erwin Hymer Museum into a lively historic campsite for the "summertime!" classic car event. This year's highlight will be camping vehicles and cars from our French neighbors.
French cars, motorhomes and caravans are characterized by their special shape and design. For example, a luxurious Citroen DS with a caravan from the luxury brand "Notin", vehicles with a very special design and style. The cult car "Ente", was also popular as a panel van camper van, as was the Citroen HY with its "corrugated iron exterior" - they exude their own likeable charm and awaken dreams of youth, freedom and adventure travel.
Visitors - classic car and camping fans, history buffs, travel enthusiasts and the curious - can experience the historic vehicles and their owners and their stories up close. The museum's entire program this weekend revolves around classic cars, mobile travel and French culture! It is the epitome of good taste, good food and good drink. France is the country of chanson, fashion and fragrances, of creative and extraordinary automobiles, but also of adventurers and camping!
The Erwin Hymer Museum invites you to experience this charming and passionate culture at first hand. Exciting travel reports provide information about traveling in France, with tips on the best destinations, the most beautiful routes and campsites, garnished with interesting facts about the country and its people! The museum workshop provides advice on the restoration and maintenance of vintage vehicles, insider tips for Eriba fans and, of course, French vehicles. The summer exhibition "Vive La France" also showcases numerous unusual and luxurious vehicles with their typical French flair and invites visitors to experience the peculiarities of French travel interactively.
Live music with chansons, accordion and "flics" creates a French street festival flair, just like on the "Montmatre". The camper and paddock party on Saturday evening celebrates with international hits from the past decades. "Vive la France" - culinary highlights and ice-cold drinks from the Caravano museum restaurant are of course a must.
The big classic car event "summertime!" will take place on August 10 and 11 from 10 am to 6 pm in the Erwin Hymer Museum and on the large outdoor area. The camper and paddock party starts on Saturday evening at 6 pm.
Only museum admission is charged for the "summertime!" classic car event. There is also a discounted 2-day ticket. All children have free admission! Admission to the camper and paddock party on Saturday evening is also free for everyone.
