For our British readers or those planning a visit to Donington in due course, make a note of the following date, as the Donington Historic Festival is always packed with exciting races: On May 2-4, 2015, during the so-called Bank Holiday Weekend, the participants will once again take the race track under their wheels.
The parade will also take place in the idyllic town near Donington Castle, where most of the racing cars will be celebrated and presented at walking pace.
Festival founder Duncan Wiltshire says "In just a few years, the Donington Historic Festival has built up a solid reputation and is already internationally renowned. Each year, of course, it gets even better and bigger! The mix of historic racing, off-track attractions, classic rally demo runs and karting track as well as public access to the pit lane make the event particularly attractive."
The participating racing cars cover a span of 70 years. Pre-war cars from the 1920s as well as youngtimer cars from the 1980s will be racing.
